In this tutorial, you can learn how to play an Easy Blues Turnaround in A.
The turnaround is typically the last 2 bars of a 12 bar blues. I’m using the key A which means the chords used are: A chord (I), the D7 chord (IV) and the E7 chord (V).
In the turnaround i.e. bars 11 and 12, the chords used are the A and the E7 chords.
I will teach you how to play the turnaround and then I will be playing a 12 bar blues so that you can have a clear idea how the turnaround will fit in the complete Blues structure.
You can check out some great blues like B. B King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Muddy Waters, Chuck Berry, Jimi Hendrix, and Robert Johnson to listen to some great turnarounds.
